Beauty Paying a Visit

Comments - Intriguing scene of a beauty paying a visit to a rather shabby house at night. She stands outside the door, tilting her head and smiling shyly with her sleeve to her chin. Inside, a commoner leans forward with a grin as he holds a long wooden pole. At right, another fellow sits on the floor, looking down with an unhappy frown as he pushes up his kimono sleeve. There are cracks and holes in the plaster walls, and tears in the paper shade on the lamp. A handsome design with a nicely detailed setting.
