Comments - Handsome triptych showing the 47 ronin gathered at a daimyo's palace. In the center, their leader, Yuranosuke, kneels on the porch as a nobleman sitting inside reads from a scroll, an angry expression on his face. The rest of the ronin are seated in the courtyard at left, wearing the ronin's traditional black and white dogtooth bordered robes. The warriors are identified in text blocks at upper left. An interesting and unusual scene from this famous tale of honor and revenge.
