Comments - Lovely triptych depicting a Meiji royal couple enjoying a musical concert. The pair sits on a platform at left as women in elegant kimono perform on a variety of instruments, including flutes, drums, a sho or reed pipe, and a one stringed zither. The room overlooks a lovely spring garden with cranes along the bank of a stream and a rushing waterfall in the center. Blossoming cherry trees dot the grounds. An attractive design with vibrant color and wonderful detail, including embossing on the white kimono collars and trim.
