Beauties in a Palace, 1893 - Handsome scene of ladies-in-waiting attending a reception in a palace. The beauties wear colorful kimono over white under robes tucked into red pants, each with her hair pulled back into a ponytail. At upper right, dignitaries in uniforms sit in chairs at the end of a verandah that overlooks a pond with a fountain. Three carp leap into the air high above the water, an interesting detail. Vibrantly colored and nicely detailed.
