Memorial Anniversary (Shunen)

Series; One Hundred Ghost Stories

Memorial Anniversary (Shunen) - Fascinating image depicting obsessive jealousy as a snake returning from the grave, the serpent coiling around a Buddhist memorial tablet, which is traditionally placed on a home altar. The snake slithers over a black lacquer container topped with papers and food and a bowl of water presented as offerings. Beautiful detail in the snake's scales.

Image Size - 10 1/4" x 7 3/8" + margins as shown.
