The Priest Noin, Poet No. 69 - Attractive kabuki scene from the famous play "Sugawara Denju Tenarai Kagami" showing the samurai Sukune Taro and his wife, the beautiful Tatsuta no mae, in a garden. He scowls unhappily, his arms firmly folded across his chest and his feet spread wide as the beauty gently tugs on his sleeve. A streams flows across the bottom of the scene, and a pine tree frames the dark night sky above a fence made of brush.

Image Size - 9 3/4" x 8 5/8"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Image cropped. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top corners from previous mounting. Slight toning, a couple light creases, number stamped on reverse. Please see photos for details.
