The Meiji Empress stands at top center flanked by two attendants, viewing the beauties at work. Below, two women use a feathers to gently brush the eggs from sheets of paper into a large tray. A great look at the traditional art of sericulture, with a handsome setting and lively color, detailed with embossing on the white kimono.
