Plum Estate, Kameido, 1852 by Hiroshige II (1826 - 1869)

Original Hiroshige II (1826 - 1869) Japanese Woodblock Print
Plum Estate, Kameido, 1852

Comments - Attractive design of three beauties visiting the plum garden at Kameido to view the flowering trees. The woman at right carries a branch over her shoulder decorated for the New Year with lucky objects, poem slips, and gold coins, smiling as she looks at her companions. The beauty in the center waits for the woman at left to catch up, pausing next to a low fence enclosing the trees dotted with white buds and blossoms. A charming beauty design with a lovely setting.
