Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864) Japanese Woodblock Reprint
Courtesan and Lamp

Comments - A charming print depicting a courtesan, with her kimono partially falling off her shoulders, a cloth in her mouth. A lantern stands behind her, and a tea set with two cups on the floor suggests she is just leaving her lover's side. Lovely soft shading in the background.
