Comments - Handsome triptych showing the famous archer, General Minamoto no Hachiman Taro Yoshiie, on horseback near the Nakoso barrier. He composed a famous poem at the site, which reads "I thought this gusty barrier was a mere name, but why do the wild cherry blossoms so cover the path?" He sits proudly astride his dappled horse, wearing full armor over his blue robes, a quiver of arrows at his back. Two attendants accompany him, one carrying his bow and the other holding a naginata. A large cherry tree blossoms overhead, inspiring his verse. Beautifully drawn, with fine detail and touches of burnishing.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels. Small hole, a couple small tears at edges, repaired. Toning, slight soiling, a few creases and spots. Please see photos for details.
