Picture Book of the Modern Forms and Figures - Handsome design from Toyokuni I's series "Picture Book of Modern Figures of Fashion" (Ehon imayo sugata), originally published in 1802. The book depicts women from all classes during the Edo era, from noblewomen and beauties of the merchant class to farmwomen and courtesans in scenes from daily life. The series is considered one of Toyokuni I's best, featuring beautifully detailed settings and soft colors. The first time we've seen these subjects in reprint.

1916 Yoshikawa Kobunkan Reprint - Beautifully carved and printed, these reprints come from a 1916 edition published by Yoshikawa Kobunkan of Tokyo. These fine Taisho era prints are offer a nice chance to collect a classic Toyokuni I beauty subject.
