Kuronushi, 1926 Kyoto Hangakai Reprint with Original Folder - Lovely print of beauties enjoying a view of the river from a verandah. A young girl tends the coals under a teapot, while the standing beauty smokes a pipe. Published by Hangakai Hanmoto of Kyoto, this reprint comes from a group dated Taisho 15 (1926). It comes mounted at the right corners in the original folder issued by the publisher, with text in Japanese inside the front cover. A charming image with an attractive soft palette.

Artist - Eishi (1756 - 1829)

Image Size - 14 3/4" x 9 5/8" + margins as shown; folder 19" x 13 5/8"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Mounted at right corners to folder. Toning, a few small spots. Folder has a few small wormholes through front and back, toning, creasing at edges, and spotting. Please see photos for details.
