Forty-eight Selected Views of Edo - Not much is known or has been published about this unusual and rare series, "Forty-eight Selected Views of Edo," which features some of the finest designs from Hiroshige's original "One Hundred Views of Edo" series. Published in 1892 by Kodama Matashichi, the series includes striking prints produced with the original blocks, and in some cases, the addition of new blocks. This memorial series includes some of Hiroshige's most memorable images, many of which are now hard to find from the original edition. Beautifully detailed with soft shading and fine line work, prints from the "Selected Views" are a great opportunity to acquire these classic Hiroshige subjects.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Horizontal folds. A few wormholes, repaired. Creasing, slight toning and soiling. Please see photos for details.
