Original Meiji era Japanese Woodblock Print
Courtesans in a Teahouse

Comments - Charming scene of courtesans in a teahouse relaxing in their free time. The beauty at lower left looks up with a smile as she adjusts a hairpin. In the courtyard garden beyond, a blossoming cherry tree frames the view as a couple of women walk about. A wing of the building extends along the right edge, with a bridge leading over the garden at center left. Nice detail in the architectural setting.
