Gun Prostitute - Classic Utamaro portrait of a "gun" prostitute, the lowest ranking prostitute during the Edo era. She bites on a handkerchief as she leans back, her kimono having fallen away from her bare breasts. A well-known Utamaro subject with fine detail in the hair.
