Yamaguchi Kayo - Born in Kyoto, Yamaguchi Kayo studied Shijo and Maruyama school painting with well-known artists Nishimura Goun and Takeuchi Seiho. He incorporated modern Western techniques with traditional nihonga painting to create his own innovative style. He also taught for many years at what is today known as the
