Frowning Commoner and View of a Bridge

Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of a frowning commoner set against a deep red ground. He wears a boldly patterned purple outer kimono over a red under robe, a blue and white towel draped over one shoulder. He looks up with a frown, his brows furrowed, holding a roll of tissues in his hand. A circular inset shows a view of the pilings supporting a bridge with a verse below. An interesting design.

Artist - Kunichika (1835 - 1900)

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 9 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Horizontal centerfold. Slight wrinkling and soiling. Please see photos for details.
