Comments - Charming scene of Prince Genji leaving a villa in Naniwa (Osaka) at dawn. He smiles as a beauty helps him on with a sheer black coat. At right, a woman kneels on the floor holding his sword upright, while a companion at left hands a cloth-wrapped parcel down to a waiting servant. The verandah opens onto a view of the water with birds flitting across the sky and a red glow spreading along the horizon and the sun rises. An attractive design with fine shading on the water and sky.
