Tom Kristensen - Born in Australia, Tom Kristensen studied science and worked as a landscape designer before being inspired by the work of Paul Binnie and other soskau hanga artists to create his own woodblocks. He carves and prints his own blocks, using traditional Japanese tools, pigments, and paper. He believes that art should reflect its time, embracing current technology. For example, his "Green Island" series began as digital photographs that he translated into the woodblock medium. Each print is signed and numbered. His contemporary, limited edition designs are popular with collectors.
