At right, Otowa watches Konosato with a smile, one hand resting on a screen decorated with a blossoming plum. Chanters and musicians sit on a platform behind the actors. From left, the actors are Iwai Kumesaburo III, Kawarasaki Gonjuro I, and Nakamura Kamenojo I. From left, the musicians are Azumaji Yododayu, Azumaji Harutayu, Azumaji Fujitayu, Hanagaki Toyozo, and Hanagaki Toyohachi. An interesting depiction of the stage appearance of a kabuki play.
