Series; Children's Play (Kodomo asobi)

Children's Play - Charming design from Miyagawa Shuntei circa 1901 series "Children's Play" Kodomo asobi), which depicts children playing games or with toys, or taking part in seasonal activities. These attractive images are beautifully printed, with delicate line work, soft color, and finely detailed settings. Some prints include deluxe publishing techniques such as embossing or mica. The first time we've offered this delightful series.

Special detail - Silver mica on all three obi and on the water and willow branches in the red text block at upper right, embossed pattern on the white title block.

Artist - Miyagawa Shuntei (1873 - 1914)

Image Size - 8 1/2" x 13" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Paper remnants on reverse at top corners from previous mounting. Some prints have a few light creases or small spots. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
