Sanjusangendo Temple Postcards - Lovely image from a postcard series by Tokuriki depicting Sanjusangendo (Hall of the Thirty-three Bays) Temple in Kyoto. It is famous for its one thousands statues of the Thousand Armed Kannon, and for statues of the Thunder God Raijin and Wind God Fujin. During the Edo era, a popular archery tournament was held with archers firing arrows outside along the extensive length of the building. Sanjusangendo has been designated a National Treasure by the Japanese government. An attractive series published by Tokuriki himself, with unused postcard format on reverse. The first time we've offered most of these designs.
