Theater Street: Ichimura Kakitsu V, 1867 - Great kabuki portrait of Ichimura Kakitsu V strolling at night through the theater district, the buildings silhouetted behind him beneath a glowing full moon. He grins as he looks up, a mischievous expression on his face. He wears a black coat with a beautiful burnished pattern of mandarin oranges, the crest of the Ichimura line of actors, over a purple kimono with the same motif. A few people are seen in shadow walking through the street, one carrying a red lantern. A handsome design with fine bokashi shading.
