Basho's Hermitage and Camellia Hill on the Kanda Aqueduct at Sekiguchi - Lovely view of the Kanda Aqueduct, one of the oldest water canals in Edo. Pedestrians travel along pathways on either side of the water, with rice fields stretching into the distance at left. On the right, Basho's Hermitage, named after a famous poet who lived in the area, is perched on the side of the famous Camellia Hill, which is dotted with pines and blossoming cherry trees. Beautiful color and fine bokashi shading in this attractive design.
