Spiral Hall, Five Hundred Rakan Temple - Handsome image of the Spiral Hall of the Five Hundred Rakan Temple, famous for its panoramic view of the distant environs of the city. Visitors enjoy the scenery from the balcony at right, looking out over green fields stretching into the distance. A few pine trees dot the plains and a rosy glow spreads along the horizon. This was a favorite location of Hiroshige and it is said that he often took day trips to this temple site. An attractive design with fine bokashi shading in the sky.
