Miyata Saburo - Printmaker Miyato Saburo is best known for his masterwork sosaku hanga series of 240 woodblocks titled "Scenery of Japan." He also did other series of Japanese landscapes. His lively and colorful designs feature simplified planes of color with stylized black outlines, creating a modern take on the traditional Japanese landscape. Saburo carved and printed each block himself, and each features his circular red artist's seal within the image. This limited edition print is numbered in pencil in the bottom margin.
