Angry Confrontation between Warriors

Comments - Terrific kabuki scene of an angry confrontation between two warriors wearing armor. The older samurai at right frowns as he stares at the younger man, his brows furrowed. The younger warrior glares back at him with an angry grimace, one hand holding the striped reins of his lively horse. His hair falls loosely over his shoulders with a slightly disheveled appearance, as if just come from battle. A pine tree frames red sky above. From left, the actors are Sawamura Tossho and Ichikawa Danjuro. A great design with large colorful figures and nice detail in the armor. Includes light embossing on the white sashes and one sword hilt at right.
