Adachi Taisho Era Reprints - This print comes from a reprint series of one hundred ukiyo-e masterpieces published by Adachi and printed by Kokko-sha Printing Company beginning in Taisho 13 (1924). Adachi issued two or three prints each month, expecting the series to take three years to complete. Prints could be purchased by subscription at a lower price. See example of publisher's information below (not included). Each print comes mounted at two corners to the original folder with a title slip, accompanied by a text sheet in English or in both English and Japanese. A rare opportunity to acquire a fine quality reprint as originally issued.

Beauty after a Bath - Charming scene of a young woman after her bath, pulling on her waterwheel patterned kimono as she steps out onto the porch where a rooster and hen are perches. Inside the doorway at right, the large wooden bath can be seen, a towel draped over the edge. An attractive design, rarely seen in reprint.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Small tear at edges. Toning, a few creases at edges. Folder has toning and spotting, a few small tears at edges. Please note, this print is mounted to the folder along all edges. Please see photos for details.
