A warrior with one foot on the balcony railing leans forward as he watches the approach of the Minamoto warships, a naginata in his hand. A noblewoman kneeling beside him looks over her shoulder with a worried expression. At lower left, a samurai gestures angrily at the enemies. Pines and blossoming cherry trees frame the scene. Nice expressive figures in a handsomely detailed setting.
