A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Ichikawa Kuzo II as Okina, 1841 - Handsome portrait of Ichikawa Kuzo II as Okina in the kabuki play "Fude Hajime Soga no fukubiki." Literally "old man," Okina is part of a ceremonial dance known as "Sanbaso" that traditionally opens a new season or theater. It is a prayer for prosperity and a good harvest. A nice expressive figure.
