Adachi was one of the most respected publishers of the 20th century. Their woodblocks were printed to the highest standards with excellent color and fine detail. Founded in 1925, Adachi also chose interesting and varied subjects for their prints and was the only publisher of many famous old ukiyo-e images.
Fly Fishing - Handsome view of men fly fishing along the shore, with a rocky cliff framing the view at right. The men stand at the edges of sandy peninsula, casting their lines into the water. The fisherman at far right has just caught a fish, which wriggles at the end of his line as he tries to put it into his net. Low misty clouds drift before the mountains in the distance. An attractive design.
