Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of the beauty Gion no Oritsu watching with an alarmed expression as Chigo Sutewakamaru breaks through a bamboo fence at right. Oddly, he appears to be carrying an enormous stone on his back tied with ropes over his shoulders and around his waist. He frowns with concentration as he steps over the grass embankment, the loose hair framing his face giving him a disheveled appearance. Oritsu leans forward with her mouth slightly agape and her hands thrown out at her sides, the sleeves of her tie-dyed kimono trailing on the ground. A dramatic design with the black night sky adding an ominous feel to the scene.
