Outside Hibiya, Seen from Sukiya-gashi, 1858 - Attractive New Year's scene outside Hibiya, with a young girl and two women playing a traditional holiday game similar to badminton using decorative battledores. Kites fly in the sky above the moat behind the group, with a daimyo's mansion along the far edge of the water. Mt. Fuji rises above the clouds in the distance. A charming subject, and the first time we've offered this Hiroshige design.
