Beauty in an Iris Garden, 1847 - 1852

Comments - Attractive portrait of a beauty in an iris garden, crouching on a wooden walkway over the water. She holds a small ornate hibachi from a cord, with coals glowing red inside. Her black kimono is bordered with stylized mandarin ducks on flowing water, worn over a red under robe and tied with a brown brocade obi. Nicely detailed with embossing on the white kimono collar and trim.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. A few small holes, repaired. Slight soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details.
