From an untitled series of horizontal kabuki portraits

Kabuki Portraits - Handsome scene from an untitled series by Yoshiiku of kabuki portraits depicting famous characters. These attractive designs are carefully drawn, with expressive faces, decorative borders or backgrounds, and lively color. Many feature deluxe embellishments, such as embossing, burnishing, or a dusting of mica. The horizontal chuban format is unusual for kabuki prints. A great choice for a kabuki enthusiast.

Special detail - Burnishing on the black kimono, cloth embossing on the white background, allover dusting of mica.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Paper remnant on reverse along vertical centerfold from previous album mounting. Small hole, repaired. Slight soiling, a few creases and marks. Please see photos for details.
