Courtesan with a Dragon Obi Kakemono

Comments - Terrific kakemono or vertical diptych of an elegantly dressed young courtesan. She wears a red kimono patterned with lucky symbols, including a wish-fulfilling jewel, tied with a black obi depicting a fierce dragon and swirling clouds. Her hair is adorned with many floral hairpins and a large comb. A striking design nicely suited to the vertical format.
