This 1849 publication includes subjects from an 1820 volume with the same title plus additional illustrations. These inventive scenes range from snow-covered mountains and kacho-e designs to figures from history and legend. Drawn with wonderful calligraphic brush strokes, these lively compositions are highlighted with soft color in gray, pink, and pale blue.
