Comments - Fantastic, extra-large format woodblock depicting farmers processing daikon after the harvest. At bottom center, a man carries bundles of daikon suspended from a yoke over his shoulders. At right, women chop off the leafy tops while another ties them into strings that are hung from the eaves of the shop. At lower left, text reads "Suisei/Osaka Japan" but we have been unable to find a reference for this. This print measures 3' x 2' and is one of the largest designs we've ever offered. Wonderful detail and texture in this interesting depiction of a traditional Japanese crop.
