Series; Famous Places of Kyoto

Nomura Yoshimitsu - Born into a family of Kyoto artists, Yoshimitsu received his first art training with his father and grandfather, studying traditional Japanese painting. He later studied with a French artist in Kyoto, and established his own art school as a young man. He is best known for his lovely shin-hanga series titled "Famous Places of Kyoto," published in 1930 and shown at the 1936 Toledo Museum shin-hanga exhibition in the United States.
