Comments - Handsome portrait of the legendary 17th-century sumo wrestler Akashi Shiganosuke sitting on a bench. He relaxes with one knee pulled up beside him, an ornate pipe in one hand and the other resting atop the hilt of his sword. He wears a boldly checked kimono over a red under robe, tied with a red and yellow cloud print obi. An attractive design, nicely detailed.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Diagonal fold near bottom. A few small holes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases, stain at edge. Please see photos for details.
