Cuckoo Flying through Rain

Comments - Beautiful design of a cuckoo flying through a rainstorm. Raindrops slant across the gray sky above a tree silhouetted in dark gray, with gusts of wind sweeping across the scene. The poem reads:

Two voices crossing
high over Gomosaki--
a cuckoo and rain.

A lovely atmospheric print with soft shading in the sky and delicate embossing in the feathers. A beautiful reprint of this Hiroshige design.
