August: Moon Viewing Festival, 1890 - Interesting lithograph print depicting activities for the month of August. An inset in the shape of the full moon depicts an elderly man and a beauty with a display for the Moon Viewing Festival. A low table holds trays piled with mochi and oranges, alongside a vase filled with autumn grasses and flowers. At right, the balcony of a temple is crowded with visitors enjoying the view. A handsome design. Please note, this is a lithograph, not a woodblock print.

Artist - Meiji era artist (unsigned)

Image Size - Page size 10 1/4" x 15"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Backed with paper. Small loss, a few holes, repaired with backing. Slight toning and soiling, slight rubbing and creasing at edges, a couple stains in margins. Please see photos for details.
