Chinese Officials, 1902 - Handsome diptych showing a group of Chinese officials in an interior. The leader sits at a low table with a document spread out before him, a tiger skin draped across his chair. The men regard him solemnly from their elegantly carved armchairs. Each wears a formal court robe and a cap. Beautifully detailed with fine line work in faces and hair, burnishing on the black robe, and embossing on the white pants at left. A lovely image.

Image Size - 13 5/8" x 18 1/4" + margins as shown
