The 47 Ronin, Act 9: Yuranosuke's Country Retreat at Yamashina - A fantastic illustration from the kabuki play "Kanadehon Chushingura," based on the true story of the 47 Ronin, a favorite subject of 19th century Japanese woodblock artists. This beautiful series of Kuniteru II prints includes some different interpretations of traditional scenes, providing a fresh look at this classic tale of honor and revenge. Beautifully detailed with fine line work, detailed settings, and attractive color, these great Edo era ronin subjects would make a fine addition to any collection. A great choice for a collector.

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Most prints have several wormholes and small holes, several thinning spots, repaired, blends well. Slight soiling and rubbing, a few prints have a slight crease or two. Please see photos for a sense of individual condition. Generally in good condition overall.
