The Storehouse of Loyal Retainers - Handsome design from Yoshitora's 1852 series "The Storehouse of Loyal Retainers," (Kanadehon Chushingura), the story of the 47 ronin. These colorful designs feature expressive figures in beautifully detailed settings. The prints in this group are from an 1886 printing of the series, with the border changed from Lord Hangan's crest to the ronin's traditional dogtooth pattern. The first time we've seen prints from this edition. A nice choice for a collector interested in this timeless tale of honor and revenge.
