Picnic, 1897 - Lovely scene of beauties enjoying a picnic to view the cherry blossoms. In the center, a beauty prepares to break off a flowering branch as the girl at left holds out her hands to catch the falling petals. At right, an older girl and a woman kneel on a red orange mat, a lacquer bento box containing refreshments nearby. Kimono are draped over a red cord tied to the tree to provide privacy for the group. A charming design, beautifully colored and detailed, with burnishing on two of the women's hair.

Image Size - 12 3/4" x 25 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels, backed with paper. Light vertical lines at sides from backing paper. Slight toning and soiling, staining at corners. Please see photos for details.
