Angry Commoner with a Bow

Comments - Interesting kabuki portrait of a commoner grimacing angrily as he looks to the side, a bow made from a bamboo stalk in one hand. In his other hand he holds a rope from which hangs a noisemaker to frighten birds away from crops. He wears a striking blue and white kimono patterned with dragons and lined with a checked print over black leggings, a cloth wrapped around his neck. A nice expressive figure.

Artist - Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861)

Image Size - 14 5/8" x 10"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight soiling, a few creases, stain. Please see photos for details.
