Mountains and Rivers on the Kiso Road, 1857 - Fantastic triptych by Hiroshige depicting a mountainous setting in Kiso during the winter. Rolling hills covered in white snow contrast beautifully with the blue water of the river and the dark gray sky. At lower right, a traveler crosses a narrow bridge while another man makes his way along a pathway curving around the mountain in front of him. Snow falls heavily through the softly shaded sky. Beautifully detailed and shaded, this masterwork triptych by Hiroshige is extremely rare.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three attached panels, backed with paper. Horizontal and vertical folds. Hole, small tear at edge, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and creasing, a few small spots. Please see photos for details.
