Spring View of the New Embankment at Shinobazu, circa 1840 -1842 - Terrific view of the new embankment at Shinobazu Pond in Ueno. Visitor stroll along the water's edge, a mother and child crossing over a narrow wooden bridge at right. Blossoming plum trees line the embankment, and a tea stand at left is decorated with colorful red paper lanterns. A lovely spring scene from this rarely seen series. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has this image in its collection.

Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Backed with heavy paper. A few holes, repaired. Toning, soiling, slight curling. Please see photos for details.
