Wisteria in Kameido

Series; Beautiful Women at Famous Places

Wisteria in Kameido - Charming scene of beauties visiting the Kameido Tenjin Shrine in spring. In the center, a mother carefully follows behind her young boy as he climbs the steep steps of the famous Half-moon Bridge. Her companion smiles as she watches them, holding slender bamboo poles with a toy figure and a pet turtle dangling from them. At left, women lean over the railing beneath a canopy of lovely wisteria blossoms, throwing rice cakes to the koi fish bobbing to the surface of the water below. A lovely triptych with delicate color, nicely shaded. A rarely seen Gekko series.
